The Story | Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

A New Dawn

“I was not sent here to be a lesson. I was sent here to live.”

Beyond the Shadow of the Bat and the S-Shield

Kara Zor-El has spent her life in the shadow of her famous cousin, Superman. While Kal-El was sent to Earth as an infant and raised by loving parents, Kara arrived as a teenager, carrying the trauma of watching her entire civilization perish before her eyes.

Now, adrift in the galaxy and celebrating a birthday that feels meaningless, Kara finds herself at a crossroads. Her powers make her a god to some, but inside, she is a refugee looking for a purpose.

“He watched Krypton die on a screen. I watched everyone I ever loved burn.”

The Journey Begins

Her solitude is interrupted by Ruthye, an alien girl on a desperate quest for vengeance. Ruthye’s father was murdered by a ruthless bounty hunter, and she seeks the help of the “Woman of Steel” to bring him to justice.

Together, they embark on a gritty, intergalactic odyssey. Stripped of her usual support systems and far from the yellow sun that grants her infinite power, Kara must rely on her wits, her combat training, and her indomitable spirit. This is not a story about saving the world—it is a story about surviving the universe.

The Red Sun

Venturing into systems where the sun burns red, Supergirl faces the ultimate challenge: heroism without omnipotence. Every punch hurts, and every battle could be her last.

Ruthye’s Quest

A companion unlike any other. Ruthye provides the grounded, human (albeit alien) perspective to Kara’s god-like struggles, bonding them in blood and iron.
